Shoot That Book combines my passion for books and my tendency to become trigger happy with a camera. My lack of photography skills is compensated by my enthusiasm. Basically, I like taking pictures of books.
Since I had Tara Kelly’s Amplified and Harmonic Feedback borrowed from the library, I thought it would be a good idea to take pictures and feature them this week. Both books have characters who are very into music and I like how the covers and illustrations highlight that.
Amplified and Harmonic Feedback book spines
Amplified’s title page, love the guitar and amp because they’re relevant to Jasmine’s story
Even the chapter headings have music-themed illustrations
I really enjoyed reading Amplified and I’m planning to review it soon. I hope I enjoy reading Harmonic Feedback just as much. Have you read these books? Let me know what you think of them if you have.
I dropped by the library today to return the books that I borrowed a few weeks ago, some of which I didn’t get to read. Oh well, I can always just borrow them again later on. I browsed through the shelves to see if anything looked interesting and ended up borrowing these:
Harmonic Feedback by Tara Kelly
Peaceweaver by Rebecca Barnhouse
I’m currently in the middle of Tara Kelly’s Amplified and I’m liking it well enough to pick up Harmonic Feedback. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll enjoy reading both of Tara Kelly’s novels. Peaceweaver by Rebecca Barnhouse is a 2012 release that has gotten some positive feedback from several bloggers I follow (check out the reviews: The Book Smugglers, Random Musings of a Bibliophile and Charlotte’s Library), couldn’t resist grabbing if off the shelf when I saw that it was available.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to finish these two before they’re due. I think I deserve a pat in the back for just borrowing two books this time. What about you, what books did you buy or borrow this week? 🙂 Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
