Bookish shirts are my current apparel of choice! Last August, a got a few of them (which you can see in this post) and I ordered two more recently:
I haven’t had a chance to wear these two yet, but I’ve had fun wearing the shirts I bought previously. I always try to wear something book-related whenever I meet with bookish friends. Some selfies to show examples:
I usually pair them with a printed skirt, as shown in these:
Forgive the vanity in this post! I usually don’t show so many pictures of myself in one go, but I think the shirts look better when worn so I wanted to share what they look like. 🙂 What do you think of these shirts? I think they’re pretty awesome. Do you own bookish shirts? If yes, what are the ones you own and where did you get them? All of the shirts pictured here were bought from local sellers here in Manila. I wasn’t able to find shirts like these while I was in Singapore.
Quick post to share some of the book-related stuff I’ve acquired. I actually only bought one book: Monstress Vol. 2 by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda, which I’m been waiting to become available here in the Philippines. I loved Vol. 1 and I can’t wait to dive into Vol. 2. On the same day, I also bought a sort of bookish lipstick because it has a Beauty and the Beast theme. Check it out:
Swipe right to see more pics. 🙂 Next is my haul of bookish shirts! I found a local seller here in the Philippines who does custom prints and I ordered the designs below. Honestly, it was so hard to narrow down the choices to just five designs. I wanted to many more. But then I can always order more later on, right? 😛 The last time I had bookish shirts was when I ordered them from Threadless, and sadly those shirts don’t fit anymore. These new shirts of mine will be perfect with my bookish skirts.
Swipe right to see more pics of the shirts, and a pic of me wearing one of them. 🙂 I shared the pic on Twitter and Ilona shared it, yay:
I’m traveling for a few days, so I wouldn’t be online here on WordPress that much but I will be updating all other social media apps that I have on my phone.:D What books or other bookish stuff have you acquired lately?
The only piece of bookish clothing I own (that still fits) is my bookish skirt. I had a thing for literary shirts from Threadless a few years ago, but sadly, the shirts that I bought don’t fit anymore. I look like a sausage/longganisa when I try them on. 😦 I’ve been seeing a few bookish shirts on Instagram and I checked out one seller’s Society6 page to see her designs. Big mistake! I ended up browsing through all the bookish shirts on the site and now I want ALL THE SHIRTS. Here are some of the designs I loved:
The Library by Bookwormboutique
Professional bookworm by Bookwormboutique
I Like To Party… by Bookwormboutique
Read Books and Drink Tea by Stephanie Fizer Coleman
Book is a dream by Risa Rodil
I Cannot Live Without Books – Watercolor by Evie Seo
Books are my H2O typography design by Evie Seo
Woodland Creatures series: Fox Loves Books
by Evie Seo
Aren’t they cute? I haven’t allowed myself to buy any of them yet because it’s so hard to choose only one or two designs. If only I can buy all of them. To be honest, I’m not really into t-shirts because I’m not skinny and cotton shirts like these tend to be unflattering on me. But I’m willing to make exceptions with bookish designs. I’ll probably just go for the unisex shirts so the fit won’t be as tight. Oh and all these designs are also available as tote bags so I’m also tempted to get those.
Have you bought bookish shirts from Society6? Or do you know of other online stores (or physical stores in Singapore or Manila) that sell bookish apparel?
