Aussie IMM: December 27

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren and was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. This meme is about books that you received or bought during the week.

I haven’t done an IMM post in a while but I just wanted to share the goodies that I got today. I met up with my friend who came from Australia and he brought the books that I asked him to buy. Yay, I’m so excited to read these:

Six Impossible Things by Fiona Wood
Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley
Good Oil by Laura Buzo
Raw Blue by Kirsty Eagar

Aren’t they pretty? I already mentioned before that Aussie books are more expensive than books published in other countries but based on the reviews that I’ve seen, these books promise to be worth their price. Side note, I just noticed that the size of Aussie paperbacks are different from the usual dimensions of other books. They’re smaller than trade paperbacks but bigger than mass markets. Anyway, I plan to read all of these for the Aussie YA Reading Challenge.

Thanks to Moses for getting these for me! πŸ™‚

    • Nomes, I have a feeling I’m going to like them. All of these are your recommendations, right? πŸ™‚ You, as well as some other Aussie bloggers that I follow.

I love how they all look together!

    • Hey Missie, I believe you can order directly from Australian bookstores and have the books sent to you. I have a Goodreads friend who did that and I know that Adele (Persnickety Snark) has a list of Aussie bookstores that deliver internationally somewhere in her blog.
