In My Mailbox: October 3

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren and was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. This meme is about books that you received or bought during the week.

Blood Red Horse by K.M. Grant
The Truth-Teller’s Tale by Sharon Shinn
The Road Home by Ellen Emerson White
Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews

I bought a trade paperback of Blood Red Horse for P115 and a hardcover of The Truth-Teller’s Tale for P125 from Book Sale. If converted, each book is around $2. I already mentioned that I got The Road Home from Angie in this post. Thanks again, Angie! Bayou Moon was just released this week and local bookstores don’t usually get copies until much later. I was happily surprised to discover that Fully Booked already has copies. I guess it pays to bug your favorite bookstore about new releases. I was able to grab a copy in the Fort branch yesterday.

What about you, what did you get in your mailbox?

  1. Hi Chahic! I got a Stephen King novel a few weeks back. I haven’t posted it on my blog. It’s entitled UNDER THE DOME. 1073 pages if i’m not mistaken. Gosh. It’ll take me a whole month to read a book this long! Lol. Cheerz!

    • Hey Ladybug, I decided to get that one because Angie gave it a good review. She says the second book in the series is even better. 🙂 Maybe I should get all of the books in the trilogy before I read Blood Red Horse.

  2. Yay for you finding Bayou Moon! 🙂

I picked up my copy of Monsters of Men yesterday, so now I can finish reading the Chaos Walking trilogy. The only problem is it’s going to take my attention away from Kate Daniels! I don’t know if I can allow that. Hmm.

    • Tina, it was such a struggle to get that copy! I already have a reservation in Fully Booked but you know that the system isn’t that efficient. I had to call several times until I got someone on the phone who said the book is available and he could reserve a copy for me. Anyway, I feel the same way! I can’t decide what to read first but I really want to know what happens in Bayou Moon so I went with that.

Comments are like chocolate. :) Maraming salamat / thank you!
