In My Mailbox: September 6

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren and was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. This meme is about books that you received or bought during the week.

I wasn’t planning on doing an IMM post this week because I only got one book during the weekend. However, I passed by the bookstore on the way home and I got several books today.

Can you see the image above? YES, those are the President’s Daughter books by Ellen Emerson White, which I had Fully Booked order for me from abroad. I’ve been waiting for these books to get here for several weeks. I walked in Fully Booked Trinoma and saw them on the shelves. I picked them up and asked Customer Service if my special order books were already there. Turns out those were my books, there just wasn’t a name included when the books were delivered to their branch. Good thing I saw them! I plan to write a post about Fully Booked’s special order service now that I have my books.

I got Honey, Baby, Sweetheart from a used bookstore and I’m glad I found it because it’s out of stock in all the major bookstores here. Whew, no need to order it then! I had My Heartbeat transferred from another Fully Booked branch because it wasn’t available in Trinoma. Pretty happy with my haul this week because I’m excited to read all of these. πŸ™‚ How happy? This happy:

Shout out to Angie, Holly and Michelle. I know these books look familiar to the three of you. You see how you girls influence my reading choices? πŸ˜€ I’m not complaining. Keep the recommendations coming!

Here are the books in list format:

From Fully Booked:
The President’s Daughter by Ellen Emerson White
White House Autumn by Ellen Emerson White
Long Live the Queen by Ellen Emerson White
Long May She Reign by Ellen Emerson White
My Heartbeat by Garret Freymann-Weyr

From Book Sale:
Honey, Baby, Sweetheart by Deb Caletti

    • I think you’re just happy because I got books and I’m not doing the book buying ban for September with Carin and Bella. LOL.

I know, these authors (and titles) are new to me too but well-recommended by book blogging buddies.

    • Jason and Celina, I know, I’m making up for lost time! πŸ˜› I had to buy these because they were my special order books. I hope I won’t buy any more books this month but we’ll see. I don’t want to make any promises.

      • ooh! So these were your special order books! That reminds me, I still have one of those coming in from Fully Booked. The book was just released last week, so I’ll probably get it right before October comes rolling in. =)

      • Yes, the four President’s Daughter books were my special order books. I still have one on the way but it’s okay if it takes its time because I still have a lot lined up. Lesson learned – don’t order series books. My bank account is complaining. LOL.

It takes around 4 to 8 weeks for the books to get here, right? I’m going to write a post about Fully Booked’s special order service. I’ll try to post it either today or tomorrow.

  1. *falls down dead with happiness*

Seriously Chachic – you are going to have to clear out your schedule and just sit down and read these babies because I promise you, you WILL NOT want to put them down!

    • Michelle, I couldn’t stop smiling when I finally got the President’s Daughter series. I wanted to start on the first one last night but I was worried that I won’t be able to concentrate on anything else so I’m saving it up for the weekend.

  2. Oh my, Chachic. I good IMM week indeed. I can’t wait to hear what you think of these. I just started The President’s Daughter this weekend. I’m not very far in but the characters are great and the writing’s lovely so far. Happy reading!

    • I can’t wait to see your review of the series too! I have a feeling you’ll finish them before I do. I’m also excited to read both Honey, Baby, Sweetheart and My Heartbeat but I don’t know when I’ll get around to them. Probably after I finish the President’s Daughter series.

Comments are like chocolate. :) Maraming salamat / thank you!
