Crazy March 2010 Update

Today’s the last day of March so time for the monthly update. It’s also the last working day of the week because it’s Holy Week and Thursday and Friday are holidays. Woohoo, more reading time!

Wow, March was an awesome month for my book craving. I already mentioned that I became a Crusieholic this month so you’ll see a lot of Jennifer Crusie in the list below. Another noteworthy book for this month is A Conspiracy of Kings, which is my most anticipated 2010 release and I already finished reading it. Hurray for MWT! ♥

Thanks to Tidoy for the two books! I plan to read these for the Once Upon a Time challenge hosted by Carl over at Stainless Steel Droppings.

I admit, I went crazy with the book buying this month. Most of the books that I bought are used so they’re cheaper or I bought them on sale. The only ones that I didn’t get on sale was Neil Gaiman’s books, which I bought to get the book signing pass, and A Conspiracy of Kings and Archangel. I wanted to get 25 books to celebrate my 25th birthday but I went beyond that.

Books Bought:
The Edge on the Sword by Rebecca Tingle
Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer
Cinderella Deal by Jennifer Crusie
Marvel 1602 by Neil Gaiman
Sandman: Dream Hunters by Neil Gaiman
Nobody’s Princess by Esther M. Friesner
A Conspiracy of Kings by Megan Whalen Turner
Archangel by Sharon Shinn

Witch by Marie Brennan
Charlie All Night by Jennifer Crusie
What the Lady Wants by Jennifer Crusie
Fast Women by Jennifer Crusie
Magic or Madness by Justine Larbalestier

Tell Me Lies by Jennifer Crusie

Fully Booked Gateway sale (20% off and I used joygadorable‘s Christmas gift, which was a gift certificate):
Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols
Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie
Memory by Lois McMaster Bujold
Komarr by Lois McMaster Bujold
Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold
Falling Free by Lois McMaster Bujold

Yay, I now have a complete set of the Miles Vorkosigan books. These were the ones that I was missing. peanut13171 gave me the rest when I met up with her last year. Thanks again, peanut13171!

I also got a lot of books as gifts from friends this month so I thought I’d list them down as well. Woohoo, thank you everyone for the birthday gifts. 🙂 I’m excited to read everything. It’s funny beccause we used to do this thing with the Birthday Club, where we would go to a bookstore after dinner and let the birthday girl/boy choose books and the others would pay for it. Now, we post wish lists so we know for sure that we’re getting something that the person wants. And because I already posted a wish list, I sent the link to my other friends and they followed it as well! Good thing there aren’t any duplicates.
