Looking for a booktwin

I recently added angieville to my feeds and her latest post is about booktwins. I made a comment in her post, saying that I haven’t met my booktwin and that I hope I’ll get to meet her soon.

Although this is the first time that I’ve encountered the term booktwin, I’ve mentioned here before that I haven’t found a friend who loves the same kind of books that I do. I have lots of friends who love to read but they usually like different genres. Most of my friends know that I like reading YA fantasy and sometimes they read one or two books from that genre. I’ve also asked my friends to read some of my favorites and they liked the books well enough but they don’t love the books. I’ve also tried giving my favorites as gifts but I haven’t received enthusiastic responses from those who got them. I don’t even have a book BFF, let alone a booktwin.

I would love to have a booktwin! I would love to persuade someone to read my favorites just because I know that he/she will love it. And I’d love to get a recommendation from him/her too because I know that we have the same taste. It’s always fun to share your excitement over something. I haven’t found my booktwin, but I’m hopeful. 🙂

Comments are like chocolate. :) Maraming salamat / thank you!
